Playing with clay
I went to work for a few hours today and left Caleb in charge of Kaitlyn and Jared. When I got home, Caleb and Kaitlyn surprised me with something they made with clay. I don't know if most of you are familiar with the movie "Flushed Away". I borrowed it from the daycare at my office (it has become Jared's favorite movie) and one of the features on the DVD is to "Build a Slug". So Caleb and Kaitlyn were watching that and decided to try it for themselves. I think they did a fabulous job! Check it out!

All I can say is "WOW." Those clay slugs are awesome! You guys did an amazing job. You made so many of them too. I like the one that turned cannibalistic and scared the other ones away. Great work!
Wow, your kids are so talented! I was so impressed with how good each clay slug was. Very cute. I hope you didn't destroy them after.
Well- Caleb's slugs are still intact but Kaitlyn's...Jared has already destroyed 2 or 3 because she left them out. They want to do some more stuff with clay so I'm going to look around and see if there are other books and stuff that give instructions they can follow. They seem to really enjoy this stuff!
